Sponsoring attorneys

“Sponsoring attorneys” are independent licensed lawyers who pay Lien.Claims a flat annual advertising fee for a featured position for their state. That fee is attorney advertising; it is not a referral fee and does not involve sharing of legal fees. If you engage a sponsoring attorney, your engagement, fees, and attorney–client relationship are directly and exclusively with that attorney. Lien.Claims does not supervise, endorse, or guarantee any attorney’s work.

No attorney–client relationship

Using this site, submitting a form, or purchasing a document package does not create an attorney–client relationship with Lien.Claims or with any attorney. An attorney–client relationship with a sponsoring attorney arises only when you and that attorney sign an engagement agreement.

Deadlines

Deadline calculators produce planning estimates from the single date you enter. Real deadlines can turn on notice prerequisites, project type, completion events, and facts a calculator cannot know. If a deadline matters — and with liens it always does — verify it with a lawyer in the project’s state.

Common ownership

This platform and its affiliated brand are operated by the same company, whose principal is a licensed South Carolina attorney. South Carolina matters referenced on this site are handled by Townes B. Johnson III, LLC.
