Arkansas notice to owner

On a home of four or fewer units, the residential contractor must give the owner the statutory notice before work starts, and no one has a lien unless the owner received at least one copy. If you are not sure the owner received it, you can give it yourself; given after work starts, it protects only what you supply afterward. On commercial work the notice is different: you send it to the owner and contractor once you are owed and unpaid, within 75 days of each unpaid delivery or item of work (Ark. Code Ann. § 18-44-115).
