Missouri notice to owner

In Missouri, a contractor hired directly by the owner must give the owner a statutory Notice to Owner before accepting any payment, or it has no lien (RSMo § 429.012). Subcontractors and suppliers do not give a notice at the start of the job; instead they must serve a notice of intent at least 10 days before filing a lien (RSMo § 429.100). This notice is for contractors hired directly by the owner.
