Texas notice of claim for unpaid labor or materials

Texas does not use a start-of-job notice. If you did not contract directly with the owner, you must send a notice of claim for unpaid labor or materials to the owner and the original contractor for each month in which you furnished work that has not been paid, by the 15th day of the third month after that month (the second month on a residential project). Each notice states the amount unpaid. A missed month can cost the lien for that month’s work (Tex. Prop. Code § 53.056). This page prepares that notice.
