Washington notice of right to claim lien

In Washington, anyone who did not contract directly with the owner must give the owner a Notice of Right to Claim a Lien, except laborers and subcontractors who contracted directly with the prime contractor (who must give it only on a remodel of an owner-occupied single-family home). It can be sent at any time, but it protects only what you furnished from 60 days before it was given (10 days on new single-family construction). On a remodel of an owner-occupied single-family home, the lien reaches only what the owner has not yet paid the prime contractor when the notice arrives (RCW 60.04.031).

Flat fee of $49. Your instructions say who receives it, how, and by when.
