Filing deadline

Serve the lien on the owner FIRST, then file it with the Register of Deeds or Clerk of Court - both within 90 days of your last date of work.

Notice prerequisites

No general preliminary notice on private work (Notice of Project rules can apply); the contractor license or registration number must appear on the lien.

Enforcement

Suit to foreclose, with lis pendens, within 6 months of last work.
